Ronald (Ron) Godlewski serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Dorsai LLC. In this capacity, he works directly with the firm’s leadership to advise private equity, start-up businesses, and large National Security-related firms on complex technology strategies, innovation, and artificial intelligence adoption. A seasoned executive with over 40 years of experience in the Aerospace and Defense sector, Ron transitioned to consulting earlier this year following a distinguished career in engineering leadership and technology development.
Ron brings deep technical expertise to Dorsai, recently spearheading a new airborne sensor capability. He developed advanced algorithms and a multi-modal AI process specifically designed for optimizing beam weights in Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars. This proprietary process enables the rapid and highly optimized transition between operational modes—such as switching instantly from weather detection to targeting—without performance degradation. The AI allows dynamic mode sequences and performs real-time situational analysis to maintain optimization throughout a mission. This technology was recently flight-tested and integrated as a core component of a new flight radar system that has just entered production.
Prior to joining Dorsai, Ron served as CTO for Leonardo Electronics US, where he identified and integrated emerging technologies across the company’s full product line, including Laser and Directed Energy Systems, Radar, and Avionics. Previously, as Senior VP of Business Development at Leonardo, he led the capture of opportunities for air platforms and grew responsibilities to include Targeting Systems and Sensors. His extensive executive background includes serving as VP at Steiner eOptics (Beretta Defense Technologies) and Director of Emerging & Adjacent Markets at Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions, where he led the pursuit of “new-new” business like the US Navy’s Next Generation Jammer. His career began with a 14-year tenure at Lockheed Martin (formerly GE Aerospace), where he managed technical requirements and classified DoD telecommunication programs. He also founded and served as CEO of Phoenix DataComm, a venture-backed start-up where he secured over $6M in investment.
Ron holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering in Communication Systems from Villanova University and an MBA in Global Business Management from the University of Phoenix. He is the holder of US Patent 6421354 for a system enabling data retrieval from remote sensors, a technology underpinning remote monitoring for thousands of devices.
On a personal level, Ron balances his high-tech career with long-standing commitments and hands-on hobbies. He has been married to his wife, Christine, for 46 years, and they have two sons, Daniel and Brian. When not consulting or developing personal electronics hardware and software in his home workspace, affectionately known as “The Lab,” Ron can likely be found bass fishing—a pastime he credits with providing the balance and refresh capability needed to tackle the next set of complex engineering challenges.
